What Remains? objects / concrete / variable dimensions / 2026

Ordinary, fragile and disposable materials—such as packaging, fragments of domestic life and everyday objects—are pressed, imprinted or embedded into concrete, transforming them into objects that resemble artefacts. Concrete, normally associated with construction, permanence and the transformation of landscapes, becomes a material for preserving traces of a world in transition. The sculptures ask what might survive when the places, environments and ways of living we know disappear, and what a future observer might understand from the ordinary objects we leave behind. By giving temporary materials the appearance of ancient relics, the works create a temporal displacement: the present is treated as archaeology, and everyday life becomes evidence of a civilisation that has not yet disappeared.
