Post-apocalyptic Landscapes installation / video / 2023
The installation aims to question the social and political perspective towards abandoned objects, buildings and displaced communities, and to focus attention on things that already or that might begin to happen in the future. Walls of those objects break and pass through the bordered spaces we have visited or places we remember in good and in bad spirits. Every heavy brick we carry with us is part of the we have created. We are the ones who build the walls and dig the foundations; but it is we who demolish them when it becomes necessary. What happens to the memories and customs after tomorrow? What about our future? How the future of the people that inhabit those areas might be is one of the questions that this installation asks.
